Booster Juice - Dragon Slay-Ah Interactive Display (2025)

We collaborated with our friends at MAG Works to build an interactive Booster Juice display inspired by an “Excalibur” style activation. The concept invited patrons to climb onto a rock base and pull a sword—or in this case, a giant straw—out of an oversized Booster Juice cup. The straw was powered with internal electronics that allowed employees to open or close it remotely.

Our Tri Forged team was responsible for fabricating the large cup and rock base. MAG Works created the lid, straw, and mechanical components.

We began by slicing the 3D model of the structure into one-inch layers and transferred onto foam. Each layer was cut, sanded smooth, and assembled using Styro-Gloo and Great Stuff expanding foam. After shaping and refining, a wooden interior support frame was installed.

To achieve a strong outer shell, we applied flexible metal mesh secured with garden staples and adhesive. This provided the perfect surface for applying Buddy Rhodes Vertical Mix, which we layered by hand to build up realistic rock textures. The final detail layer was sponged with varied textures for a natural look. Once cured, we stained the rock surface, sealed it, and added faux moss and painted accents to enhance depth and realism.

The Booster Juice cup wrap was produced on durable styrene poster material for flexibility and longevity.

Once our portion was complete, MAG Works integrated the lid, straw, and internal mechanics before the display was safely delivered to its location.
