We enjoy incorporating real world functionality into props. It adds usability and makes the object feel more believable as a real product, not just a display piece.
This project started as an idea to create replicas filled with different liquids and gels, which led us to experimenting with clear gel ice packs. We tested several types to find options that stayed transparent, could be dyed different colors, and still had the right weight and feel.
The labels were custom designed and printed on high quality waterproof vinyl. Each piece functions as a real ice pack that can be kept in the freezer or used in a lunch bag. For Fan Expo, we also included an optional hanger setup. An eyelet was installed in the pouch so the RadAway could be displayed without stretching or stressing the vinyl bag.
