We were commissioned by Evie Maynes, photographer and creative director for the band Good Kid, to build a 6’3” fridge prop for a photoshoot. The fridge was constructed with an open backing so the band members could step inside, creating surreal and playful visual moments for the shoot.
The prop featured a functioning hinged door, 4 interior shelves, and a small interior light mounted at the top. The main body was built from wood, with foam accents used to replicate the soft rubber seal found in real refrigerators. Magnetic latches helped keep the door closed while maintaining a practical, interactive feel on set.
This was a fun and energetic build that came together beautifully in camera.
