We were commissioned by Mosaic Canada to build the third iteration of the Google Search Honours Awards. This year introduced a new category, the “Rising Star” award, which featured a colour matched frosted top. In total, we produced 26 awards across Google’s signature yellow, green, and blue palettes.
We also created a new internal variation to showcase fresh candy paint colours and finishing techniques.
Each award began as a custom 3D print which we refined and used to create a silicone mold. The pieces were pressure cast in Smooth Cast resin, then candy painted and detailed entirely by hand, including the custom toppers and the names of the winners. After painting, every award received a gloss 2K clear coat for protection and a premium finish.
The final collection carried forward the established design language from previous years while introducing new colour treatments and a refined sculpt, making this year’s set the most elevated version to date.
