We were commissioned by Mosaic Canada to create custom awards for Meta, produced in 2 separate batches in June and October for a total of 12 trophies.
Each award was custom 3D modeled and 3D printed in SLA resin to achieve a heavier feel and sharp, smooth details. Every piece was hand sanded up to 1000 grit, then finished with automotive primer, black 2K gloss, and a chrome aluminum topcoat.
Because chrome finishes are notoriously difficult to handle without scratching or attracting fingerprints, the client requested a protective 2K clear coat to ensure durability. Custom aluminum plaques were laser engraved with the winners’ names and installed on the back of each award. The interiors and bottoms of the trophies were painted matte black to enhance contrast and make the aluminum elements stand out.
This project resulted in a clean, premium set of awards that aligned with Meta’s elevated branding and attention to detail.
