We were asked to build a 3 foot tall Minecraft Steve statue for an Xbox gaming event held in Toronto. The statue would be a center piece while kids played and built Lego around it.
The project started with a Pepakura file to get proportions correct. The same file was converted to the proper 3 feet tall proportions and transferred to foam core board. Game images were used as references and the paint was colour matched. Each piece was airbrushed and attached one piece at a time while the epoxy cured.
The final piece was attached to a base and displayed at the event!
