We were commissioned by Mosaic Canada to create 50 custom snow globes for Shopify’s Shop team. Each globe began as a standard kit, with the interior scene fully designed and 3D modeled. The main figurine was 3D printed in SLA resin for crisp detail, and a custom snow mountain was also 3D modeled and printed in clear SLA resin so light could shine through from below.
Each base included RGB LEDs with a remote, which we programmed to match the client’s preferred color settings. The bases were painted to match the vinyl wraps applied around each one, creating a cohesive and polished look.
The liquid mixture inside the globes consisted of water, glitter, glycerin, and alcohol to achieve the right movement and clarity. Due to the fragile and sensitive nature of snow globes, we hand delivered all 50 units to New York to ensure they arrived safely.
The final results were a success and the client was very happy with how everything turned out.
