We were inspired to create replicas of Sukuna’s fingers from Jujutsu Kaisen. The project began with a custom 3D model, which was printed in FDM plastic and sanded smooth before finishing.
The master was painted in a gloss finish and molded in a 2 part silicone rubber mold. Castings were produced using Smooth Cast resin and pressure casting to eliminate air bubbles and preserve surface detail. We also created versions in solid urethane rubber to give the prop a flexible feel.
The pieces were cast in black resin or rubber, with the red detailing applied using dry brushed flexible paint. A 2K gloss clear coat was sprayed over the top to complete the finish.
A small batch was also converted into functional bottle openers by drilling the castings and installing metal opener hardware inside, which worked well while keeping the prop appearance intact.
