Toronto Ultra MTX Costumes – Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2025)
We were commissioned by OverActive Media and Toronto Ultra to create real-life versions of the team’s MTX costumes from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Both the home and away versions were built, with the primary difference being the base colors of white and black.
Each costume included a wide range of custom elements such as gloves, watches, combat boots, goggles, hats, knee pads, and more. Many of the components were sourced from military and airsoft suppliers to ensure the gear looked tactical, functional, and true to life.
Some elements were built entirely from scratch. For example, the knee pads were designed in 3D, printed, molded in silicone, and cast in flexible foam rubber to allow actors full mobility. The goggle frames were custom painted, and the lenses were cut from tinted window film. After initial tests produced a pink tone that was too light, we refined it to a deep purple that matched the in-game reference. Jerseys were designed and sublimation printed onto crew neck sweaters, and the headphones were hollowed out so that actors could wear them comfortably while still being able to hear their surroundings.
Almost every part of these costumes was customized to match the in-game aesthetic while remaining wearable and practical.
The finished costumes were flown to Spain for Major 1 of the Call of Duty League tournament. They have since become a key part of Toronto Ultra’s marketing efforts, both in person and online, and it has been a pleasure to see fans embrace them with such enthusiasm.
